JM Finn hosted a lunch at their London headquarters this week for the trustees and friends of cricket charity, Bat for a Chance. The lunch was an opportunity for the trustees and guests to discuss cricket from the perspective of current and past players.
Bat for a Chance is a charity established by 18 year old Will Gaffney, which looks to help underprivileged children experience the joy of cricket by collecting and sourcing clothing and equipment, both new and high-quality second-hand, for dispatch to schools, clubs and academies all around the world.
The cricketers present at the lunch included England, Surrey and Southern Brave white ball specialist, Chris Jordan who was chatting with England bowling legend Gladstone Small and former England player and coach and current member of the West Indies selection panel, Roland Butcher.
Paul Dyas, head of Investment Management at JM Finn commented: “We are delighted to be able to support Bat for a Chance. They are achieving extraordinary things for cricket and are led by a visionary in 18 year old Will. I hope our small contribution can help them flourish, which, given the calibre of players, past and present and trustees they’ve amassed in such a short space of time, is in little doubt.”
