JM Finn & Co participates in London Poppy Day

London Poppy Day, now in its eighth year, is looking to raise more than one million pounds in a single day for the annual Poppy Appeal, to beat last year’s record breaking total of £815,000.Collectors will be at 80 tube and train stations across the London transport network, and at hubs including Covent Garden, which will have a stage of fantastic military performances throughout the day. All the money raised will go towards The Royal British Legion's vital work caring for our Armed Forces past and present and their families. 

The success of London Poppy Day is due to a rapidly expanding corporate network that shows its support by allowing collectors to ‘walk the floors’ in offices, and accordingly, representatives from the Armed Services will be walking the floors of JM Finn at 11.15 am on Thursday 7th November. 

London Poppy Day organiser Duncan Welham said: “This year’s plans are bigger and better than they’ve been before, and that’s mainly because of the support we’re getting from the general public and from our teams. We’re getting people in, not only from the military, but from corporates and from lots of other organisations to make this a really big event this year.”
