The trust has two aims – to hold concerts featuring artists, ensembles and orchestras of international renown to country churches of special beauty, and to raise funds, which are donated to the churches visited – specifically to help with the heavy costs of the upkeep of the venues.
At the end of 2015, the Trust had arranged 76 weekends of music in nine counties, and donated £5 39,500 to 79 churches.
Upcoming events for 2016 include:
Music at Malmesbury – Friday 20 and Saturday 21 May 2016 at Malmesbury Abbey in Wiltshire
Music at Castle Acre – Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 July 2016 at The Church of St James the Great, Castle Acre, Norfolk
Music at Orford – Friday 2 and Saturday 3 September 2016 at St Bartholemew’s Church, Orford, Suffolk
