RDA Endurance continues to flourish

At Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), horses benefit the lives of over 25,000 disabled children and adults.

With fun activities like riding and carriage driving, the charity provides therapy, fitness, skills development and opportunities for achievement – all supported by 18,000 amazing volunteers and qualified coaches at nearly 500 RDA centres all over the UK.

JM Finn is a proud supporter of RDA Endurance which has been embraced by RDA Groups across the country with the number of groups registered to take part now at 96.

The RDA Community have welcomed the activity with more and more regions holding sessions each year and the groups spending time to find out their local routes, which in turn is taking them outdoors and through woodland, showing them that there is more to riding than just being in an arena.

RDA Endurance was met with so many positives in 2018 and Endurance Week was a huge success, as was the National Championships pilot event – enabling the charity to carry on with another non-competitive event with more riders. As the popularity of RDA Endurance has increased so much, it was decided the biggest focus in 2019 would be development.

This has begun with introducing a Grassroots League to involve all riders no matter what distance they ride at and they can see their name entered onto the league online. They would receive a reward after achieving various distances and at the end of the season, the riders would also receive a special certificate with their final total.

Together we are looking forward to watching RDA Endurance flourish even further as a competition and a leisure activity.
