We are extremely proud to announce that the all-female Ace of Blades rowing team has just completed their monumental trip across the Atlantic Ocean and have safely arrived in Antigua today, having started their journey 47 days ago. As one of the lead sponsors of the Ace of Blades, JM Finn would like to extend a huge congratulations to the team on their incredible achievement. The four members, JM Finn Investment Manager Laura Langton, Lizz Watson, Kit Windsor and Beth Motley were greeted by their friends and family in Antigua who cheered them on the final stretch of their race.
Rowing continually in a rotation of two-hour shifts, the team has covered 3,000 miles after setting off from La Gomera in the Canary Islands in December. They have overcome many hurdles during their journey including strong winds, sea sickness and being hit in the face by flying fish.
As it currently stands, the team has raised an incredible amount for The Charlie Waller Trust, Macmillan, Prostate Cymru and The Outward Bound Trust. You can continue to donate via their GoFundMe page here:
