On Saturday 29th May, Simon Wong Wealth Planner at JM Finn ran 100km from London to Brighton, completing this gruelling task in just over 17 hours. He left leafy Richmond and progressed over the North and South Downs until the welcomed sight of Brighton coastline came into view- all in 20 degree heat. Simon loves the idea of covering long distances under his own steam. The Ultra Challenge’s London to Brighton 100k race appealed as it’s a point to point course with the simple aim of escaping London for the seaside.
Simon raised over £3,500 with gift aid for Macmillan who have faced significant reductions in income and have had to cut 15% of its workforce, both of which have hindered their ability to fundraise. Macmillan aim to support people living with cancer, providing them with vital support so they can live life as fully as possible. Simon has been extremely humbled by the support and fundraising received from his colleagues, friends and family!
